Boxed cutlery set
Sometimes cutlery can be a bit plain and boring, but this classic French bistro set from Cath Kidston will add some colour to your table.
The 16-piece cutlery set has knives, forks, spoons and tea spoons in four colours – red, green, blue and pink – and it comes presented in a wooden tray box, which is ideal for storing your cutlery.
It’s all dishwasher safe and should be hard-wearing. The cutlery set is priced at £38 from Cath Kidston.
I love these, and normally I would turn my nose up at anything other than entirely metal cutlery. Bizarrely enough, IKEA also do some pretty cool plastic/enamel-handled cutlery too.

Thanks for the comment, Amy.
I’d forgotten about the Ikea cutlery, but saw it recently and it did look nice too.

I too love great cutlery and I wondered if you would be interested in seeing the Carrol Boyes cutlery as everything is handmade in pewter or stainless steel. There are loads of designs including people, waves, crowns, hearts and loads more. Take a look at http://www.carrolboyesbymooch.co.uk and see what you think.
