Brrrr! Who suddenly turned the heating down? It seems like one moment we were all wandering round in shorts and tee shirts eating cream, and now we’re all indoors wondering if we remembered to get the chimney swept. 5. Rainbow stripe wool blanket, Tolly McRae
If you want to hold onto the thought of summer just a little longer, then this bold striped blanket will add a splash of colour. striped blanket will be perfect. It has has striped ends with a neutral grey mid-section and is made from 100% pure wool in small batches in a family run mill in the British Isles. £99, available from Tolly McRae.
6. Zigzag recycled wool throw, Hemming & Wills
This fringed mustard yellow and grey wool throw in a zig-zag design is made from recycled wool clothing. The clothing is cleaned, broken down into fibres, spun into yarn and then woven into fabric. The colour is a result of the original wool fabrics as no dyes are added during the process. It costs £45.95 and is available from Hemming & Wills.
7. Pure new wool cushion, Bronte
This pretty pure new wool cushion in pink and aqua design has a button and fringe detail. Perfect for adding a touch of colour to a neutral colour scheme or to match with similar tones for a co-ordinated look, it includes a feather-filled cushion pad and is made in England. This beautiful Newton feather cushion is made from a soft grey wool with a deep blue/grey pom pom trim . It’s made from a mixture of 80% wool and 20% polymide for durability, and comes complete with a feather pad. £45, available from Miller & Chalk.
9. Akira wool runner in terracotta, Housecosy
This 100% wool runner in warming shades of orange and neutrals will add a touch of comfort to any room, as well as helping to reduce noise and draughts. The only downside is that it’s professional dry clean only so probably not ideal for high traffic areas. £59, available from Housecosy.
10. Watermelon woven felted footstool, Perch Upholstery
