What is neo-mint? Here at Cosy Home, we like to stay on top of the current trends – but this one is working quite far ahead!
UK-based online trend forecasting agency WGSN are predicting that a new colour, neo-mint, will be the hot colour of spring/summer 2020. Their team of forecasters picked on neo-mint after analysing social media trends, fashion data and current affairs. They use data from online retailers to work out what’s selling well, and plot how colours are evolving.
In general, the trend for next year looks set to be softer colours with more pastel and the sunset colours of purple and yellow. They predict that neo-mint will be big as it’s fresh, vibrant and gender-neutral.
If it takes off as a mainstream trend, it won’t hit the shops properly until late in 2019 or early in 2020 – but if you want to get ahead of the curve, then a few brands have already launched their own version. A pastel greeny-blue, we think neo-mint looks quite retro and would look great on kitchen appliances with a 1950s feel or as an accent colour. We’ve picked out a few pieces for you to think about.
