With a name like Cosy Nook, it’s not surprising this cute garden building caught our eye!
Scotts of Thrapston are launching their RHS Cosy Nook at the 2014 RHS Chelsea Flower Show this week. The design of the shed was inspired by archives in the RHS Lindley Library and is based on garden buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries that had both a decorative and practical purpose.
It captures these uses very well and is very dual purpose. There’s a shed area when you can store your tools, a useful side area including shelves which you can use for potting up or displaying plants, plus sheltered space at the front with just the right amount of room to put a chair or two.
Compared to some of their other garden buildings, the Cosy Nook lives up to its name and is cosier and more compact. It would look right at home in a small garden and is useful if you’re short on space. It’s made from European redwood and is available in a range of seven heritage colours.
