Rustic chandelier
If you’re looking for an antique chandelier, but have found that the real thing is out of your budget, then here’s an option that looks like an antique chandelier, but doesn’t have the super hefty price tag.
The metal chandelier, with its glass droplets, has a rustic feel to it. It’s dark in colour and has been aged in all the right places, to make it look older than it really is.
The metal antique style chandelier is available in limited numbers from Ebury Home and Garden, a new online interiors boutique run by Hannah Gooch.

Reindeer light
The shops are full of seasonal home accessories and Christmas decoration ideas.
As far as lighting goes, we love the look of this reindeer lamp, which produces a clear, glowing light when lit up.
The reindeer is made of metal and plastic and contains an LED light inside. It runs on batteries, so you don’t need to worry about wires – this also makes it much easier when choosing where you’d like to put it.
The large clear lit reindeer costs £38 from Laura Ashley.
A smaller version is available for £15 and both table lamps, and many more seasonal items, are currently available as part of their 3 for 2 promotion.

Unusual cluster light
Why settle for one lampshade when you could have nine?
This fab ceiling cluster light is cleverly made up of nine traditional lampshades in a variety of colours all hung together from the same ceiling rose. To create the cluster effect, the shades are all hung at different heights and some have pretty fabric designs inside them for extra variety.
It doesn’t come cheap (as nine lampshades wouldn’t), but it’s a truly eye-catching piece and is bound to become a talking point.
You’ll find the traditional lampshade cluster light for £275 at Rockett St George.

Stunning table lamp
New in as part of the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection at Monsoon, this Georgette table lamp is intricate and very striking.
It’s made of ceramic and has an all over cut-out effect, ensuring the light will flood through beautifully, particularly when it’s turned on in the evening.
The Georgette table lamp is £45 and is also available in black (ignore the blurb for the neutral one that’s currently on the Monsoon website, as it’s wrong – correct information can be found on the black version).

Dog light
Here’s a novel idea for a bedside lamp – a bone china dog that acts as a lamp or night light.
The lamp uses a low wattage bulb which stays cool, so if you’re looking for a night light that can be left on for long periods, then this would work well.
The dog is well made, with cute floppy ears, and could be used as a bedside lamp in a child’s room or your own.
The bone china lamp costs £65 from NestGifts.
If you’re not into dogs, then other lamps in the range include a cute bunny rabbit and owl.

There’s something really alluring about these fabric vintage style lampshades.
Based on the the traditional paper lanterns, the round, globe-like lampshades are made from floral cotton fabric and are available in a choice of three colours – green, pink and blue. We’re torn between the green and the blue, both of which are equally striking.
The fabric lamp shades are available from Oliver Bonas and cost £19.50 each.
