Mix and match spoons
I’m on the hunt for nice dessert spoons – the kind that have a pretty handle – as the pattern on my current ones is sadly wearing off.
I found some in a homeware shop recently that were perfect, except for the fact that they turned out to be £20 each…ouch!
But now I’ve spotted these Laguiole long handled spoons, which are thankfully more budget friendly and this time you get six spoons for £25.
The stainless steel Laguiole dessert spoons have a glossy acrylic handle in a mixture of jewel-like colours and they come in a presentation box.
They’re available to purchase at John Lewis.

Decorative chopping boards
As chopping boards go, these Birds and Branch boards are very decorative and almost too nice to chop on.
They’re designed and made in Sweden by Julia Nielson and are made from laminated birchwood. The cutting board has a hole at the top, so it can be hung up if you wish, and it’s available in a choice of two colours – zingy green or soft lilac.
The Birds and Branch chopping boards can be purchased from Berry Red and cost £16.50 each.
Do you think they’re too nice for chopping on? Perhaps you could just hang them up and enjoy the design instead!

With the weather acting suspiciously summer-like, we’re planning on making the most of it whilst it lasts. Eating outside in the garden is great, but I’m never keen on taking out my best china or crockery.
This large wooden salad bowl would be perfect for outdoor entertaining, as it looks stylish, but is super practical too. Hand carved from hevea wood, the bowl is finished off in a country style with a hand-painted heart design. The large heart bowl is £19.99 and a matching smaller bowl is available for £9.99.
To complete the look, a set of triple heart matching wooden salad servers are available too, for only £4.99.
All the country heart design pieces can be purchased from Touches Home Interiors.
For more product ideas and inspiration, why not have a read of their blog too?

Fabric bag holder
Although we don’t use carrier bags for shopping any more, we still seem to have a stack of them at home. This carrier bag store from Ochre and Ocre is so useful for keeping them all organised.
It’s made from organic cotton and the lovely fabric design is part of a British collection inspired by the work of 1950s designers, Lucienne Day and Mary White. As well the Isabella blue fabric, there’s also a cheery version in red.
In addition to popping carrier bags in ours, it also proves useful for brown paper bags that we want to re-use, as well as freezer bags. The hook on the top means that it can be hung up conveniently.
The Isabella carrier bag store costs £11 from Ochre and Ocre.
If you like the fabric design and colours, then there are various matching products available, including napkins, a table runner, ironing board cover (I have my eye on this, as our current one is so tatty), double oven glove and peg bag.

Tea towel
It hasn’t taken long for Royal Wedding commemorative memorabilia to hit the shops, but whilst some of it is a tad on the tacky side, there are some more covetable items to be had.
We rather like the design of this tea towel, by Hunkydory Home, which features two lovebirds on the branch of a leafy tree.
The tea towel features the date and location of the Royal Wedding and costs £14 from Hunkydory Home.
