Butterfly napkin ring
When you’re laying a table for a special occasion or Christmas celebration, attention to detail and finishing touches, like adding napkin rings, can really make a difference.
This pretty silver metal napkin ring is in the shape of a delicate butterfly and looks lovely in use on a dining table. The butterfly design is carved and, for the price, has an enormous amount of detail in the design, right down to tiny markings on the wings.
The butterfly napkin rings are sold individually, so you can buy the exact number you need and not have extras left unused. The napkin rings cost £2.95 each and can be found at Graham and Green.
It would be the perfect magical addition to a silver and white Christmas table theme.

Butter dish
Store your butter in style, with this silver lidded rabbit butter dish.
With this cold winter weather, butter left in the fridge will probably end up being too hard to spread on your bread. For the perfect spreadable butter, cut a piece off, pop it in the rabbit butter dish and leave it out at room temperature. You’ll have spreadable butter when you need it and a cute rabbit to boot!
Perfect for using for yourself, or to serve butter at a dinner table or tea table when entertaining, the rabbit butter dish costs £18.50 from Oliver Bonas.

Imperial Blue range
I’ve always loved the look of the Denby Imperial Blue tablemats and coasters – the design and the colours remind me of the sea! Whilst I don’t have any other pieces of Imperial Blue china, I do have some of the Denby white range and it would be a lovely contrasting colour with this.
Whether or not you want to match your tablemats with your dinnerware, it’s always good to find products that have been reduced in price, so you can save money on your purchase.
Debenhams have got a sale on at the moment, and the Denby Imperial Blue tablemats and coasters - plus other Denby items – are reduced.
The tablemats are now £14.25 for a set of four and the coasters are down to £6.37 for four.

Heart shaped spoons
Even if you’ve already got a well used set of cutlery at home, it’s sometimes nice to add a few extra pieces to your collection to liven things up or to use for special occasions.
These heart shaped teaspoons, which come as a set of six, would be fun to use for desserts, either when you’re sharing a meal with friends or for something different when you’re on your own.
The spoons have a nice hammered finish to them and come boxed, so if you’re not buying them for yourself, they’d make a well presented gift.
The silver heart spoons cost £25 from Primrose and Plum.

Heart shaped toast rack
Serve toast in style, with his heart shaped Culinary Concepts toast rack.
The silver plated finish toast rack is made up of open heart shapes with slots in between for even spacing of slices of toast. The handle is artistically made from a swirly spiral shape and there are four little ball feet on the base of the stand.
The Culinary Concepts heart shaped toast rack comes boxed, so would make a great gift idea, and can be purchased from Debenhams.

Pewter leaf bowl
This little beauty caught my eye earlier on – the little leaf shaped bowl and accompanying twig spoon are made from pewter and would be an unusual way of serving something special on a dinner table.
The leaf bowl is very realistic and I love the way the sides are slightly curled up and the veins of the leaf are apparent. The spoon handle is styled on a twig and it looks like it’s freshly dropped off a tree.
I’d use it serve pickles or chutneys in, or perhaps clotted cream for desserts. As both pieces are made of lead-free pewter (a pewter that doesn’t go grey), they’re fine for using with all manner of foodstuffs. When not in use, they’d be fabulous simply left out for decorative purposes.
This lovely piece is handmade in Britain by Ed and Judy Glover (nee Smith), from their studio in Wiltshire. The set costs £29.50 from the Glover & Smith store on Not On The High Street. For something as pretty and unusual as this, it seems like a pretty reasonable price.
I also really like their oak leaf napkin rings (£22.95), oak leaf cupboard handle (absolutely adorable! £14.95) and little birdy spoon too.

Exotic tea glasses
I love Moroccan tea glasses and have a small collection of them currently on display in a cabinet. But whilst I’ve previously used them for drinking tea and serving cold drinks in, I’ve never thought to serve desserts in them. Having spotted this set of Marrakech tea glasses, I’m newly inspired with ideas to put mine back into use!
This set of six Marrakech tea glasses come in a choice of rich pink or gold and red designs – both are lovely – and cost £25 for the set, from Coco Male.
They’re a great investment, as they double up well for decorative purposes in your home as well as practical ones. You can even use them to put small tea lights in – they look pretty with candlelight flickering gently within.

Multicoloured knives
It’s no secret that we’re fond of colourful cutlery, so it’s not a great surprise that these vintage 1950s knives caught our eye.
The six piece knife set is made of Sheffield stainless steel and each of the composite bone effect handles on the knives is a different colour, reminiscent of the popular shades of the 1950s.
The set comes boxed and costs £28 from Home Sweet Homestyle. If you love all things vintage, then it’s well worth checking out their shop, as it’s a treasure trove of vintage goodies!
