We love Avoca’s button design range of ceramics! They’re colourful, cheerful and fun and the detail on all the different buttons provides something different to spot each time you use them.
If you’ve got limited space in your kitchen cupboards, then the stacking design of the button milk jug and sugar bowl is perfect, as they don’t take up two lots of room. Plus, there’s no worries about the jug accidentally toppling off the bowl in the cupboard (as can happen when you stack some items), as they’re designed to fit together.
The Button milk jug and sugar bowl set costs £18 from Lily and Lime Home.
Various matching ceramic pieces are available, including a nice button cup and saucer (£16) and buttons porcelain mug (£12).

Ania bowls
The black and white pattern on these Ania bowls has a folk art feel to it, with small hearts, flowers and foliage incorporated into the design.
They’re made by LSA and are sold as a set of four by Occa-Home. They’d be great to use to serve up desserts in, or you could use them as cereal bowls.
The set of Ania bowls costs £38.50.
If you like the design, there are more products available in the LSA Ania range, including striking black plates with a white pattern, tea cups and saucers, dinner plates (white with a nice black patterned border design) and glass tumblers (also available in other colour options).

Yellow honey pot
Le Creuset have expanded their range of products to include some preserve pots and jars.
We particularly love the bright dijon yellow of this lidded honey pot, which is decorated with a small bee emblem on the front. It comes complete with a matching silicon honey dipper, that you can use to serve honey with. There’s even a little notch added in the lid, so you can leave the dipper standing inside the pot if you wish.
The Le Creuset stoneware honey jar and dipper costs £20 and is available from Selfridges.
With it’s bright yellow colour, it would make a cheery addition to your breakfast table!

Beach huts mug
If you’re wishing you were at the seaside, then why not bring images of the beach to you instead, with these seaside china mugs?
If colourful beach huts evoke memories of the beach for you, then there’s a beach hut mug.

Seaside boats
If watching small sail boats bob up and down across the bay sums up the seaside for you, then there’s a mug featuring seaside boats.

Seagull mug
Or maybe it’s the cry of the seagulls ducking and diving overhead that signals you’re beside the sea – in which case, there’s this design featuring seagulls with bunting in their beaks.
Whatever being beside the sea means to you, all of the mugs in the seaside range are only £6 each from John Lewis.

Danish mugs
If you love classic blue and white china, then these Danish Skagen mugs are sure to appeal.
They differ from many mug designs, as they don’t have handles. As a bonus, this means they stack really well together and can take up less space in a small kitchen cupboard.
The blue and white stripe Skagen mugs cost only £6 each from Very Nice Things.

Linda Bloomfield specialises in making hand-thrown porcelain tableware. Her distinctive pieces are simple and organic in shape, but very tactile (you’ll want to use them, rather than put them on display), and there are some special elements to the designs, such as a dimple added to the side of a bottle.
All of these pieces are finished with neutral satin matt glazes and some have colour inside them.
The dimpled bottle, which would be perfect to use as a milk jug, costs £21, the tall pouring bottle is £22 and the lovely organic teapot is £50.
Check out Linda Bloomfield’s store on Not On The High Street for more of her handmade ceramics.
