Vintage candelabra

Pretty fabulous candelabra

Pretty fabulous candelabra

Candelabras do not have to be stern pieces of table decor, highly polished and dragged out but once a year.

No, they should be delicate, slightly vintagey, strewn with flowers and perched on a dainty base.

It’s a reasonable £39 and we don’t see why it shouldn’t be out on the table all year round.

Find it at Bombay Duck.

Pretty fragranced candles Pretty fragranced candles

Online boutique, Patchwork Harmony, is bursting with lovely home accessories and, this week, you could save money on all orders.

Over on Fresh Design Blog, they’ve negotiated a special discount offer for all products purchased at Patchwork Harmony from now until Monday 31st August 2009. To get 10% off your order, all you have to do is enter the code, “FRESH” at the checkout.

These ceramic jars, for example, hold fragranced candles with the yummiest of scents – Rhubarb and Custard, Lemon Drizzle Cake and Marigold and Rocket.

They come with a pretty doily on the top and a jam recipe – so when you’ve finished the candle, you can reuse the ceramic jar for jam. The fragranced candles are £15 each.

There are lots more highly tempting home accessories for sale on the Patchwork Harmony website, including this vintage-style soap tin with a rose scented soap (£7.50), unusual stacking egg cups (£7.25), a vintage style white wooden letter rack (£14.25) and useful fabric doorstops in a variety of fabrics (£5.25 each).

Vintage china teacup candle

Vintage china teacup candle

Vintage china teacup candle

At Cosy Home Blog, we love old vintage china teacups and, in addition to drinking tea from them, one of the popular ways you can bring them into your home is in the form of a candle.

These teacup candles are all one-off vintage pieces, so each cup is unique, and the cup is filled with a delicately scented candle.

If you love the look of vintage china, and also appreciate candles, then this is a great way of combining the two. It would also make a lovely gift.

Kirstie Allsopp famously featured vintage china teacup candles in her popular Channel 4 TV series, Kirstie’s Homemade Home.

The vintage teacup candles are available to purchase from Lavender Room for £22.00 each.
