Vintage inspired Sherbet stripe bedding from Cath Kidston

Spring stripe duvet bedding set

Fresh stripe duvet

We love the name of this Sherbet stripe design bedding, new in at Cath Kidston (it’s got us thinking of Sherbet dips and licorice!).

Although it’s not of the edible variety, this Sherbet stripe duvet cover is equally delicious. Inspired by vintage designs and colours, the bed linen is made of high quality cotton and has a fresh and cheery look to it, making it perfect for updating your bedroom for summer.

The Sherbet stripe duvet cover is available in various sizes and can be purchased from Cath Kidston. To complete the look, a variety of matching items in the same sherbet design are available too.

Gold bird branch jewellery stand

Bird branch design jewellery storage stand

Stylish jewellery storage

There’s nothing worse than necklaces that get all tangled up in a drawer. The best way of storing necklaces is to hang them and this elegant gold bird branch jewellery stand is perfect for your boudoir dressing table.

The small tree has a large branch, plus several smaller ‘twigs’ going off it, which are ideal for hanging necklaces or bracelets from. The stand measures 25cm in height and is made of mixed metals, finished off with a gold colour.

You’ll find the bird jewellery stand available exclusively from Urban Outfitters, where it costs £25.

Chunky woven blanket from Zara Home

Cosy blanket

Cosy blanket

You can never have enough blankets in your home, especially in the run up to winter. They’re perfect for throwing on the bed for an extra layer on a cold night, or for snuggling up under as you relax on the sofa on a chilly evening.

I love the look and the colour of this chunky weave blanket from Zara Home. It’s got several shades of pink, cream and green running through it and is finished off with a nice fringe.

If pink isn’t your colour, then there are two other shades to choose from. You’ll find the chunky blankets over on the Zara Home website.

Kylie Minogue Allure bedding

Designer bedding by Kylie Minogue Allure

Luxurious designer bedding

We’re seeing a lot of ruffles and ruching in bedlinen ranges at the moment, as well as on cushions, and it can create quite a luxurious look.

This bedlinen is from the Allure range, designed by singer Kylie Minogue. The faux silk duvet and pillows are awash with extravagant looking ruches and ruffles and there’s a complementary faux silk throw available to complete the look.

Made from a delicate shade of oyster (cream) which would fit in well with a variety of decor schemes, the bedding is very feminine in style and design. If you want to add a dash of colour into it, then a range of cushions, as seen in the photo, are available to dress the bed.

Kylie’s Allure bedlinen range is sold by House of Fraser, with prices starting at £15 for a pillowcase.

Imogen bedstead from Feather and Black

French-style bed

French-style bed

I love antique furniture, but can’t always afford to buy it for all rooms in my home. This French-style white painted Imogen bedstead is a good alternative to an actual antique bed as it looks the part, but costs less than a real one would.

It’s made from Chinese birch, which has been painted in white, then given an antique-like finish. It has beautiful cabriole legs that raise it off the ground and provide enough room to store all your treasures (or clutter) under the bed.

The Imogen bed is available in a choice of double or king size, with or without a mattress, and is currently reduced in the sale at Feather and Black. It’s been styled really nicely in the picture and the blue and white bedding looks great too!

Pip Studio patch double duvet

Country style patchwork quilt

Country style patchwork quilt

If you love the look of patchwork quilts, but don’t fancy doing all the work yourself, then buying a ready made patchwork quilt is the ideal solution.

I chanced upon this Pip Studio patch duvet a month or so ago, then promptly forgot where I’d seen it. Thankfully, I’ve re-discovered it, on the pages of the Urban Outfitters website.

The reversible patchwork quilt is very country style in appearance and comes with matching patchwork pillows, which finish off the look perfectly. Even though it’s not handmade, the varied selection of different patchwork squares lends a homespun look to it. The duvet is a double size and available as a web exclusive from Urban Outfitters.
