Styled in the form of an antique world map, with its aged look, this piece thankfully won’t set you back an antique price to buy.

You could use it as it is, or pop it in a nice frame. Either way, it’s a bit of a bargain.
Clever basket liner
This doesn’t look like much, but it’s quite a good idea. The white waffle basket lining, from The White Company, is designed to go inside baskets, so any odd bits of wicker or basket material don’t stick into the things you put inside the basket, such as clothes or toys.
It’s being sold as a liner for laundry or washing baskets, but you could use it for any basket that you feel could do with a lining.
The pure cotton waffle liner, which is designed to be snag-free, is suitable for a basket measuring up to 64cm by 35cm and is currently half price, at only £8, from The White Company.
Vintage Lolita chandelier
Bombay Duck is one of my favourite shops and I love exploring all the new door handles, hooks and other gorgeous homeware that they’ve got in stock.
They’re renowned for having lovely chandeliers, although usually they’re a bit far out of my budget. But then this beauty caught my eye.
The bestselling vintage Lolita black chandelier, with crystal flowers, has been significantly reduced in price – down from £245 to £125. It’s adorned with tiny black beads, crystal cut flowers and crystal pendants and would look stunning hung from the ceiling.
I’m sorely tempted. What do you think?
Salt and pepper set
These little beauties caught our eye on the Lakeland website, where the’re reduced in the sale.
The shiny nickel-plated apple and pear, which come on presented on a lovely leaf, look like they’re simply decorative pieces.
But in fact they serve a practical purpose as a cruet set, or salt and pepper.
The salt and pepper is dispensed from the apple and pear from a plastic stopper at the top and they’d look great on your dining table, or given as a special gift.
The set of three pieces is now only £9.99 from Lakeland.

This traditional enamel bakeware is just like my Granny used to use and reminds me of freshly baked pies and crumbly pastry.
You don’t see enamel bakeware so often these days, but a new, very reasonably priced range is now available from Lakeland.

This lovely classically styled ornate silver mirror would look lovely above your mantlepiece or in a bedroom.

The mirror looks well crafted and expensive, but we were amazed that it’s actually available from Sainsbury’s. Best of all the price has currently been reduced by 20%, so it’s now only £48.
Laura Ashley Kimono wallpaper
Bargain alert!
We spotted this neutral coloured Kimono wallpaper on the Laura Ashley website – and it’s reduced down to only £10 a roll! Considering it started out at £26 a roll, that’s a great discount and could save you money if you’re thinking of wallpapering a wall or two.
They officially describe the colour as ‘linen’. As it’s so nice and neutral, with a floral pattern that isn’t overpowering, we think it would be ideal for anyone who likes the idea of wallpaper, but doesn’t want to go overboard with colour.

Plumo vintage magnetic boardIf you’ve been umming and aahing about whether to buy items in the Plumo sale (or is that just us?), then today is your last chance, as the sale ends today (20th August). There’s also a tempting extra offer of free postage (worth £4.50) on standard online orders.
The Plumo sale prices have already been reduced a couple of times (you can see the reductions listed on individual items), so many pieces are much more reasonably priced than how they started off.
Some of the lovely home items you could snap up include a vintage green metallic magnetic memo noticeboard for £15.
Cherry glass decorative jar
An old-fashioned pressed glass storage jar, with a decorative cherry design, that you could use to put homemade jam in. The tall jar is available for £4 and it has metal clips on it to keep the lid secure.
Six meadow flower hooks
A set of six dainty and decorative meadow flower hooks. They’re cream coloured, made from metal and you get an assorted variety of different designs.
The set of six started off as £33 per set, but are now down to £19.
Vintage fabric magnetic noticeboardA vintage fabric magnetic noticeboard, reduced down to £10 (was £28). The magnetic buttons shown with it have sold out, but there are lots available elsewhere, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
We’ll admit to have been tempted by this, but were initially put off as they say that the fabric and colours may vary from the picture shown, and at full price, we were worried we may end up with a not-so-nice fabric. Perhaps that’s why it’s ended up in the sale, as it’s not ideal to be unsure of what you’ll get – you want it to match your home decor, after all!
