Decorating your home with neutral colours

Decorating your home with neutral colours

Thinking of decorating your home in shades of white, cream or gold? Here’s a guest post from Becky Yardley with a few relevant product ideas.

Calming neutral tones of white, cream and gold are classic colours that can used as a combination of subtle tones for decorating a cosy home. This neutral palette suits most interior design schemes, but far from being boring, they can help create a relaxed and individual colour scheme.

Pops of contrasting colours can be added if you wish, but home accessories and furniture in complementary colours work equally well. When you’re choosing pieces, look for different textures and interesting features for a little extra style. Splashes of gold can be used to add instant glamour.

Classic items, like this antique mirror, would look great in a living room, bedroom or hall, and this decorative ceramic door knob could liven up tired furniture or doors. Add a vase full of white roses to create a calm and inviting kitchen, or give your walls a makeover by adding some stylish wallpaper.
