Unusual postcard placemat by Lucie Pritchard

Postcard placemat

If you like to lay your dining table properly for dinner, or want something eye-catching on the table for a special meal, then this unusual postcard placemat would make quite a statement.

Created by textile designer Lucie Pritchard, the pure linen placemat is silk screen printed to look like an old postcard. The address, stamp and postmark feature on the right hand side, with a message to the recipient on the left. The placemat measures 40cm by 28cm, offering an ideal amount of room to lay the cutlery around it and allow a good amount of space for hot plates or bowls to stand on it.

Linen provides the ideal look and feel for the placemat and is the kind of colour you’d expect to find on the back of a vintage postcard. At only £9, the placemat seems reasonably priced.

To complete the look, matching items are available too, including a silk screen printed stamp napkin and a postcard linen coaster.
